Barracão Maravilha International Residency Program

In 2011, I was invited to join Barracão Maravilha Arte Contemporânea, as an associate artist, to share a space in the centre of Rio de Janeiro with another nine artists, contributing with ideas and practices to manage a collective artists’ studio.

We invested in the redevelopment of the ground floor which became an exhibition space, among other proposals of activation of the space towards the sustainability of an artist-run-space.

I organized the studio’s Artists’ Residency Program which ran between September 2011 and November 2012 and hosted 11 artists from Australia, Belgium, Holland, Italy, United States and United Kingdom.
